Projects Started

My sister's sweater is started and I'm really liking the Aurora 8 yarn. It's very smooth. The pattern calls for a tweed but we chose a different yarn. Most of the back has been completed and the left sleeve has been started. The left sleeve and left front are knitted in one piece and I've never done anything that was designed this way. The pattern is pretty easy to follow and I think this sweater will go very fast. I still need to pick out the buttons. Any suggestions?

Can you believe I've been knitting this sweater on the bus? And I haven't stabbed anybody yet. My needles are somewhat of a pain in the butt, but I've managed. Though this week I decided to add another project for the bus so I've started a pair of black socks. "Retro Rib Socks" from Interweave Winter 2004. There are so many good patterns in that issue!
