Pink Socks, anyone?

I've noticed a trend in my sock yarn purchasing lately... Apparently, I didn't think I had enough pink socks in the wardrobe. From left to right: Regia Crazy Colors, Three Waters Farm Lotus colorway, Trekking XXL 80, and Dream in Color Smooshy Petal Shower. Ok, I"ll admit I accidentally bought the Regia Crazy Colors on eBay during a weak moment (since our pinky swear not to buy anymore yarn until SAFF 2008 for me and Fab Fiber Fest for you.) I saw a pair knitted up in this yarn on Ravelry and simply had to have it!

Otherwise, I've been a perfect saint, knitting from the stash pretty heavily.

So what's spinning?

I finished a second skein of the brown and white Romney. It's being washed at this moment. Here's a pic of it right off the niddy noddy. A bit over plied (and overspun, I'm sure.)

I have one totebag full of brown Romney picked locks to card and spin, and then it will be finished! Of course I need to spin a two-ply skein of the darker brown for the accents of the sweater I have imagined.

Guess what I dug up out of the depths? The Persimmon Tree Farm rovings in the Indian Corn colorway (purchased at SAFF 2006.) I'm hoping I bought enough for a BSJ. I took a quick break from the Romney. Such instant gratification to reach in a bag an spin away...

I haven't touched my Shetland fleece yet. This weekend, I'm getting a (free, yay!) top-loading washing machine solely to process fleeces. I'm dreaming of turning my potting shed into a "fiber studio," and it seems that D. is on board too!

Knitted several little person things from lone balls and other random bits out of the stash, but that will have to wait for my next post.
